I. On-Farm Production
The component aims to enhance from productivity for crops and livestock and would include a set of activities covering:
Food Crop Development Support
Under this sub-program, it will cover
(a) Village extention support,
(b) soil and water conversation,
(c) institutional strengthening,
(d) training of extension agents,
(e) non-timber forest product (NTFP),
(f) horticulture development and
(g) pilot activities.
Livestock Development Support
Under this sub-program, it will cover
(a) establishment of village animal health worker (VAHW) system,
(b) training of beneficiaries and group development,
(c) observation tours provision of extension materials and equipment,
(d) demonstration on various livestock subjects,
(e) forage development, (f) animal breed improvement,
(g) conduct of studies related to livestock and
(h) establishment of livestock emergency support fund are covered.
